We had a great turnout for our first official “open studio” for Rochester’s city wide gallery night called First Friday. We can’t wait for the next one! In the mean time, enjoy some photos of our new studio setup.
After several months of working out of our new studio location, we’ve finally carved out some time to start making the space our own. We’ve got many more exciting ideas planned for the studio in the coming weeks. Be sure to stop by suite 321 in the Hungerford Building this Friday to see our progress. We’ll be open from 6-9pm!
Our Porter messenger bag has received an interior upgrade. Ballistic nylon. And we didn’t have to “upgrade” the price.
Our showroom/studio in the Hungerford Building will be open this Friday, March 1st for First Friday. We will be offering special pricing on all of our upcycled accessories.

EvenOdd, LLC
Neighborhood of the Arts, Rochester, NY USA
Senior Sewing Machine Operator, Jr. Sewing Machine Operator/Production Assistant
We make upcycled fashion accessories with a focus on detail and craftsmanship. You could say we are borderline obsessive about quality. We use uncommon materials to create our accessories, such as; bike inner tubes, sailcloth, billboards and anything else we can think of. We utilize these materials not only to reduce landfill waste, but also because they are incredibly durable and unique.
EvenOdd is a small group of skilled craftspeople and designers, who try not to take ourselves too seriously. We enjoy what we do so much that the negative connotation of the word “work” does not apply. Our backgrounds range from sewing, art, photography, screen printing to graphic design. These skills inform every project we take part in.
We are looking for two independent sewing contractors from the Rochester area who possess the drive, passion, and creativity, to match our own. Applicants must be self motivated, have a strong attention to detail, efficient work ethic, and ability to work comfortably in a variety of circumstances. You must own, or have consistent access to an industrial sewing machine – it must be able to sew through several layers of thick materials.
Senior Sewing Machine Operator: Will be responsible for constructing bags and accessories. All materials will be provided in “kits”. They will be cut and marked from patterns and contain all the elements you will need to make each product. Must have 2 years of sewing experience, prior production work is a plus. Must also be familiar with rivet and snap hand setting tools. No fashion experience needed. Please be prepared to show prior work.
Junior Sewing Machine Operator/Production Assistant: Will be responsible for sewing inner tubes together as well and cutting material from patterns, and fulfilling various production needs. Must be comfortable operating a sewing machine, prior production work is a plus. No fashion experience needed, we are willing to train. Must be eager to learn and willing to take on new challenges as we experiment and grow our product line.
Initially, both positions will be contracted out. However, we are in the process of finding a larger production space to set up shop in. Our goal is to have a studio with several employees in the near future.
Based on experience.
Flexible and dependent on weekly orders. Part time, with the option to grow to full time position.

We are working like crazies, preparing for Rochester’s Greentopia Festival this September. We are proud to be a part of this amazing 1 week event. They are available for online purchase at: www.greentopiafestival.com and in person at the Greentopia tent.
