EvenOdd at Hearts + Crafts

July 19, 2011 at 6:48 pm

We will be vending at Hearts + Crafts again this summer. Make sure to note that we are on Day 1 (Saturday) at Starry Nites Cafe.

We’ll be introducing two new wrist cuff designs at the show, so come see them in person! More info is on Facebook.

Hearts and Crafts is bringing you the biggest show yet this summer! For the first time ever, we’ve expanded into a two-day, multi-venue affair.

Saturday July 30: Hearts and Crafts presents the brand-new Wearable HeART Market at Starry Nites Cafe (696 University Ave), featuring exclusively wearable craft-clothing, accessories, and jewelry from 15 local makers.

Sunday July 31: Join us at Java’s Cafe (16 Gibbs St) for the traditional Hearts and Crafts market we all know and love, featuring the diverse wares of over 30 local crafters, including but not limited to paperie, ceramic goods, toys, and some accessories too.

Both events will be held from 11am-5pm, outdoors, and will feature live music from local musicians including Holy Smith, Alex Bogs, Amos Rose, and more TBA!

After being introduced by a mutual friend three years ago, Ashley Cellura and Eliza Sullivan realized they had met their artistic soul mates.

Renew @Thread

May 17, 2011 at 9:21 pm

We braved the cold and miserable, wet conditions on Sunday afternoon to set up our window display at Thread for our release party. Try to imagine it without the foggy windows and rain and we think you’ll agree that it looks pretty slick. We’re already anticipating the day when we can cut up our banner and make bags from it.

Proto Bike Bag

March 21, 2011 at 10:22 am

Spring is finally showing its face in Rochester, which means biking season is now upon us. We’ve gotten many requests to create a more “bike” friendly messenger bag. Here is a look at our first proto:

Features so far:

  • Removable shoulder pad
  • Removable & adjustable stabilizer strap
  • Durable rubber inner tube base

Dang, girl, “You say you got that bag from the trash?”

Great article about what we do at EvenOdd in the Messenger Post:

Waste … it’s American. An average American throws away 1,200 pounds of trash a year, plus 2,400 pounds of paper, 500 pounds of metal, 500 pounds of glass and roughly 400 pounds of food scraps.

As a nation, we discard 2.5 million plastic bottles an hour. In a year we throw away 25 billion Styrofoam coffee cups. That’s not a typo … billion … with a B. Don’t even get me started on…
